With first Beta expected later next month, its time for Windows fans to prepare for using Windows 8 on their home PCs.

Windows8-metro-start

If you have a Windows 7 PC, then your current hardware is most likely to run Windows 8 smoothly. I have tried the developer preview on the same machine I run Win 7 on and I’ve faced no problems at all.

The next and the most important issue is of the metro style. This style will not be very king to our lovely mouse and one will always love to own a touch screen monitor before installing Win 8. The next generation of Windows has been designed keeping in mind the revolution brought by the tablet PCs. Hence much emphasis has been laid on developing a touch friendly OS.

With its launch date coming nearer, its now very easy to find a touch screen monitor at a reasonable rate. After some months we expect the prices to go down even further given the expected increase in demand.
There are several panels available right not on newgg. The cheapest and the durable one is HP L2105tm Black 21.5" Swivel & Tilt Adjustable Full HD TouchScreen LCD Monitor w/ Speakers coming at just $ 299.99. The other brands are not much heard of except Acer and even the prices are higher for them.

Having a touchscreen panel would surely make your experience of using Windows 8 a top class with on screen touch keypad and scroll. Using metro apps would be at your fingertips.
