IPad, the iconic products by Apple Inc. has almost had a monopoly in the tablet market for sometimes and is now facing considerable challenge from its Android competitors. Though Apple has been the solo leader against dozens of other players but that might not for long.
With Windows 8 in the market, iPad is sure to face the real competition for the first time. Unlike all other tablets, what iPad misses is the option of a Media card slot to expand the device’s memory. This was the feature that many of us awaited in the second version but were left disappointed.
Now the scenario is different and guys at Apple must be realizing this fact. Windows 8 tablets will provide an option for USB slot or a media card and this is where Apple might loose a chunk of market.
Tablets are fast replacing traditional computing gadgets and memory is the area where iPad disappoints users, who will have no other option to find other options like Windows 8 tabs which will have a sufficient number of application in the marketplace before it is commercially launched in the market. iPad marketplace is one area that keeps users inclined to Apple because Android tablets have a very few good apps in the marketplace.
