A new tablet will make its way to the Indian market sometime in the month of March and this upcoming device is tagged as the cheapest Indian Android 4.0 ICS tablet. It comes from a Chennai based manufacturer called iBerry India, reports The Mobile India. In conversation with the blog, the company mentioned that they are ‘getting ready for the launch of their first Google Ice Cream Sandwich based tablet.’ The device will carry a price tag of about 10,000 INR, final pricing is yet to be confirmed.
Apparently, this would be a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels resolution) device known as the iBerry Auxus AX02. It will be powered by a 1GHz processor and will include a dedicated graphics engine. It will also include 1GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 32GB of expandable memory via microSD cards and it will also facilitate user to attach USB drives and other USB peripherals.
In the past we have witnessed the Indian market getting crowded with all the entry level Android tablet, most of which came with non-tablet versions of Android. Now it seems to me that we may soon get to see a bunch of entry-level Android ICS based tablet in India, Auxus AX02 however will be known as the first. Let us just hope this deliver what it promises.
