But the cost of these devices, no less than $300 have prevented the student community from owning this beauty in their hands. But now an academic initiative by Microsoft would help the students own these devices at no cost and to some extent the students might even get profit by applying to this program.
The program, iUnlockJoy by Microsoft is a simple three step program where a student has to first register for this, develop 4 Certified Windows Phone Apps and submit them in the marketplace and finally will get the device.

- At the next pop-up, fill in your details. If you don’t have a DreamSpark accout, you can either fill the details there to get a DreamSpark access key or you can contact your nearest Microsoft Student Partner or you can post the details in the comment below this post and we will get you a DreamSpark access key delivered to your email id.
- That’s it for the registration, now start developing your apps.
